Koper mayor excused from trial during presidential campaign

Ljubljana, 2 October - The Koper District Court will not be scheduling hearings of Koper Mayor Boris Popovič in a trial related to contentious sale of land in 2007 for the duration of the campaign for the 22 October presidential elections. Popovič is a candidate and the court wants to avoid allegations that it is influencing the election outcome.
