Angela Piskernik, pioneer environmentalist of international stature

Ljubljana, 22 November - The first Slovenian woman with a PhD in natural sciences, Angela Piskernik (1886-1967) did pioneering work in nature conservation in the period of rapid industrialisation after World War II, her influence extending beyond the national borders.
