Ljubljana offers kayak marathon, Kranj orientation run
Ljubljana/Kranj, 18 October - Recreation enthusiasts will be able to join this week a kayaking marathon on the Ljubljanica river or an orientation sprint for mixed relays in Kranj.

The Ljubljana Kayaking Marathon on Saturday will see a 11-km and a 22-km competitions starting at the Ljubljana kayaking club in southern Ljubljana.
Participants will be able to rent a kayak if they do not have their own.
Meanwhile, those who like to combine running with orientation skills can go to Kranj to take part in a national championship in sprint for mixed relays on Saturday.
The aim is to find all checkpoints marked with red-white triangle flags and cover the set route in the shortest possible time.
"Orientation running can be a serious sport or just fun and an excuse for having some recreation at the end of the week. Age is not an obstacle", the organisers say.
