Govt maintains budget plans in line with fiscal rules

Ljubljana, 19 October - The government rejected on Thursday the view of the Fiscal Council that the draft budgets for 2018 and 2019 were not fully compliant with the fiscal rules, proposing parliament adopt the budgets in their current form. The European Commission's methodology for assessing the fiscal effort seems to be at the heart of the diverging views.
