Croatian weekly says Sberbank was out to take over Mercator

Zagreb, 31 October - Russia's Sberbank, the biggest creditor of the ailing Croatian conglomerate Agrokor, reportedly sought to acquire in August and September the 69.5% stake held by Agrokor in Slovenia's biggest grocer Mercator. According to Tuesday's report by the Croatian weekly Nacional, the bank used "dramatic pressure".
