Žiga Zois, patron who helped shape Slovenian national identity

Ljubljana, 27 November - Žiga Zois (1747-1819) is hailed as one of the greatest contributors to Slovenian culture. The richest man in Carniola was a generous patron to a group of Renaissance men who left an indelible mark on Slovenian culture and produced works that started shaping the nation's identity.
