Slovenia for ban on glyphosate with 3- to 5-year transitional period
Brussels, 7 November - Slovenia is in favour of banning the herbicide glyphosate while granting a three- to five-year transitional period for the use in agriculture, Agriculture Minister Dejan Židan informed European Commissioner Karmenu Vella on Tuesday. Židan agrees less or no chemistry in food production is the right way, but noted this would entail higher prices.
