Low turnout sign of disappointment, distrust in politics, expert says
Ljubljana, 8 November - The turnout in the first round of the presidential election was among the lowest in Slovenia's history and the lowest in the first round of any election so far. Expert in social sciences Alenka Krašovec thinks this is due to people's disappointment with politics and a high level of distrust in democratic institutions.
