Please note that the turnout in the first round was not the lowest ever in Slovenia's history as stated in para 2. The lowest turnout was recorded in the second round of the 2012 presidential election, when only 42.41% of the voters cast their ballots.

Kamnik, 12 November - Presidential candidate Marjan Šarec was optimistic when he cast his vote in the presidential run-off on Sunday morning. If he had not counted on winning, he would not have even run for president, he said.
