The Movember Run is the "most relaxed running event in Slovenia with a humanitarian note", taking place every year on the last Saturday in November.

"The purpose of the run is not to compete, but to promote the Movember movement and healthy lifestyle and, after all, having fun while running", the organisers said in announcing the 6th run.

The 8-km run will start and finish in Prešeren Square at 11 AM, with the route including Tivoli Park and Ljubljana Castle. Each competitor will be given a Movember shirt and a moustache (if they do not have one).

The mission of the Movember movement is to raise awareness about men's health, most specifically about prostate cancer and other cancers affecting men. Men should grow a moustache in November to support the cause.

On the same day, the Riba swimming club will organise a 12-minute Cooper swimming test and swimming competitions in the 1,000-metre and 2,000-metre categories in Ljubljana.

"No diplomas will be handed out, but each competitor will have their time or distance recorded on paper and will be given a piece of advice from a coach", the organisers say.
