Event marks 20 years of first NGO-run safe house

Ljubljana, 27 November - The first NGO-run safe house for domestic abuse victims opened its doors 20 years ago in Ljubljana. It was the second safe house in the country, opening only a year after the first safe house was launched by the Maribor social service, according to Darja Zaviršek of the Ljubljana Social Work Faculty.
