Major trade union group insists on strike

Ljubljana, 3 January - A major group of public sector trade unions represented in pay talks with the government by Jakob Počivavšek insists on holding a strike on 24 January. The group rejected on Wednesday government claims their appetites were too big and stressed that it was fighting for protecting the unified public sector pay system.
