Take Nordic walking course, celebrate World Snow Day
Ljubljana/Planica, 17 January - Sports enthusiasts will be able to take a basic course of Nordic walking in Ljubljana's Tivoli Park or join celebrations of World Snow Day in the state-of-the-art Planica Nordic Centre this weekend.

Organised by a local sport association, the course will start with a theoretical presentation of the main features of Nordic walking and equipment, and warm up and balance exercises.
It will also feature the training of all basic techniques, including downhill walking. More information at www.gibit.si/nordijska-hoja-tecaj/
Slovenia will join the celebration of World Snow Day on Saturday and Sunday, with the Planica Nordic Centre hosting a series of events, including a mini ski-jumping hill for children and a cross-country skiing course.
