Women on average spend 18 days on sick leave a year, men 12
Ljubljana, 17 January - An average woman with a job spent about 18 days on sick leave in 2016, while men were absent from work for health reasons for 12 days. Most men took sick leave because of injuries or poisoning, and most women because of diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue, the Statistics Office said on Wednesday.
