Weekly review of events involving Slovenia, 19-25 January

Ljubljana, 26 January - Some 30,000 public sector workers went on strike demanding better pay and the preservation of the single public sector pay system. The foreign minister announced Slovenia would recognise Palestine without waiting for other EU members, while the EU is apparently unhappy with the latest Slovenian proposal about the NLB bank.
