Several thousand protest for better pay in public sector

Ljubljana, 24 January - Several thousand public sector workers from around Slovenia gathered for a protest in Ljubljana to support today's strike, which has been joined by members of 16 trade unions from a number of fields to demand better pay and the preservation of the single pay system. Some 30,000 are meanwhile estimated to be on strike.
