Poet Novak says his masterpiece restored dignity to the dead

Ljubljana, 7 February - Poet, playwright and translator Boris A. Novak, the winner of this year's Prešeren Prize, sees himself foremost as a poet. He feels he has dedicated his whole life to his award-winning epic Vrata nepovrata (The Door of No Return), which he believes has restored the dignity of his ancestors.
