Journalist acquitted of defaming former secret police boss

Ljubljana, 1 February - The Ljubljana District Court has acquitted journalist Igor Kršinar of libel in a case brought against him by Janez Zemljarič, a former boss of the Slovenian branch of the former Yugoslav secret police. The court said on Thursday that the plaintiff's side failed to prove intent to defame.
