Foreign Policy Committee shelves motion to recognise Palestine

Ljubljana, 4 April - The parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee failed to make a decision on Wednesday on an initiative to recognise Palestine, with chair Jožef Horvat arguing there was no legal basis for this as the government has not taken a clear position on the issue. This does not necessarily mean that the motion has hit a dead end yet.
