MPs raise welfare allowance to EUR 385 until end of year

Ljubljana, 19 April - The National Assembly raised the basic welfare allowance from EUR 297 to EUR 385, as it passed changes to the social assistance benefits act in a 33:22 vote on Thursday. The rise will be enforced between June and the end of the year, after which the allowance will be scaled back to the government proposal of EUR 331.
