Constitution Commission rejects attempt to shield NLB bank in Croatia

Ljubljana, 20 April - The parliamentary Constitution Commission has rejected opposition-sponsored changes to a constitutional act designed to shield the NLB bank from Yugoslav-era claims in Croatia and subsequent amendments proposed by an expert task force. The decision comes after the Constitutional Law Institute indicated that the proposals were misguided.
