Slovenia focussing on boutique beekeeping

Ljubljana, 16 May - There are more than 10,000 beekeepers in Slovenia or almost five per 1,000 inhabitants, which puts Slovenia among the top beekeeping countries in the EU. However, the country's production of honey is among the lowest in the EU, which means makes the activity rather boutique, with most beekeepers supplying only a narrow client base.
