Senate committee okays Blanchard as new US ambassador to Slovenia
Washington, 19 September - The US Senate committee on foreign relations unanimously endorsed Lynda Blanchard as the new US ambassador to Slovenia on Tuesday, but her nomination still needs the approval of the entire Senate.
