Slovenia set to get first woman army chief of staff in Maj-Gen Ermenc

Ljubljana, 26 November - Responding to unofficial reports, Defence Minister Karl Erjavec confirmed on Monday that he is to propose Major General Alenka Ermenc for new chief of the general staff of the Slovenian Armed Forces. Ermenc, who was promoted last Friday to become the country's first woman army general, will replace Major General Alan Geder on Wednesday.
