Struggles of Velenje coal mine could affect Šoštanj

Velenje, 30 November - The country's sole coal mine in Velenje is expected to post a loss again this year after getting out of the red in 2016 and posting a profit of EUR 3.5m in 2017. The loss is to top EUR 4.2m. More importantly, low production and reserves will reportedly make it almost impossible to meet its annual production targets after 2020.
