Thousands celebrate New Year's outside

Ljubljana/Maribor/Koper, 1 January - Thousands of people welcomed the New Year in company of friends and family at public celebrations thrown by nearly every town in Slovenia. The biggest number, about 100,000 people, gathered in Ljubljana, where locals and tourists alike enjoyed concerts at four squares in the city centres.
