Smetana's Bartered Bride coming to Ljubljana opera house

Ljubljana, 21 January - The Bartered Bride, the comic opera composed by the Czech master Bedrich Smetana to a libretto by Karel Sabina, will return to Ljubljana after 21 years on Thursday. The latest production of the popular opera, courtesy of Ljubljana SNG Opera and Ballet and Czech director Jiri Nekvasil, will run until mid-March, with an extra performance in June.
