Slovenian meat is safe, industry says in wake of Polish beef scandal
Ljubljana, 30 January - Slovenian meet is safe and of good quality, the Meet Industry Association said on Wednesday after a Polish TV station aired footage from an abattoir showing visibly sick cows being slaughtered and their carcasses carved. Slovenia has consistent control mechanisms in place to avoid such wrongdoing, the industry said in a press release.
