Polish beef scandal not possible in Slovenia, food safety chief says

Ljubljana, 7 February - The director general of the Food Safety Administration, Janez Posedi, has said there is no reason for Slovenians to worry since Polish meat that arrived in Slovenia was shipped before it was discovered that sick cows were butchered in Poland. He is certain that the Polish incident could not occur in Slovenian abattoirs.
