Minority in Italy asks regional head to intercede for parliamentary representation

Trieste, 8 February - The Slovenian minority in Italy has turned to Massimiliano Fedriga, the president of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, for help after the upper house of Italy's parliament endorsed constitutional changes lowering the number of representatives in both houses of parliament. This is deemed yet another hurdle in way of minority being represented in parliament.
