Sobotka wants status of German-speaking community upgraded, Pahor opposed

Ljubljana, 6 March - President Borut Pahor received in Ljubljana on Wednesday Austria's parliamentary Speaker Wolfgang Sobotka, who called for changes to the status of the German-speaking community in Slovenia. Pahor said he saw no need for constitutional mention, while he noted Austria's obligation to protect the Slovenian minority.
