St Gregory's - it's when the birds wed

Ljubljana, 12 March - Slovenia observes it own version of St Valentine's on Tuesday. According to the Julian calendar, St Gregory's Day is the first day of spring, the day when "the birds wed". Yet birds are at risk in Slovenia.
