Rihard Jakopič, pioneer of Slovenian impressionism

Ljubljana, 12 April - Rihard Jakopič, born 150 years ago to the day, is considered the pioneer of Slovenian impressionism and leading Slovenian painter of the first half of the 20th century. The National Gallery, which keeps his paintings as part of its permanent collection, has put on several events to mark the anniversary of the artist's birth.
