Novak elected NSi's MEP, long-serving Peterle bids farewell

Ljubljana, 27 May - The opposition New Slovenia (NSi), a member of the European People's Party (EPP), has managed to win only one seat in the European Parliament, but it is nevertheless happy with the result. The new MEP is its frontrunner Ljudmila Novak, whereas Lojze Peterle, who has served since 2004, failed to get re-elected.
