1996 Jurčič Award Winners: Alenka Puhar, Janez Markeš and Bernard Nežmah

Ljubljana, 3 March - JURČIČ/AWARD
The Jurčič Award, a sign of recognition for intellectually credible and authentic writing to Slovene journalists, editors and independent publicists, will be awarded Tuesday evening in Ljubljana's National Gallery. The awards, named after a 19th century Slovene poet and editor of newspaper the Slovene Nation, Josip Jurčič, will this year go to daily Delo's journalist Alenka Puhar for superb commentaries, journalist and editor of the weekly "Mag" Janez Markeš, and Bernard Nežman, a journalist for the weekly "Mladina".
