VAT on books almost certain to be cut

Ljubljana, 23 June - In a rare move, all 90 members of the National Assembly have signed a motion for legislative changes reducing the VAT rate for books and other publications in hardcopy from 9.5% to 5%. The ruling Marjan Šarec List (LMŠ) believes the changes could take effect on 1 January.
