After Prime Minister Romano Prodi visited Ljubljana on Tuesday, Speaker of the lower chamber of Italy's Parliament, Luciano Violante, is to pay a visit to Slovenia on Friday, 14 March. This is the first visit by an Italian Speaker to independent Slovenia.
