Nedelo: Albania as Non-State

The recent events in Albania have dispelled peaceful dreams of many a newly established politician in countries going through transition from communism to one way or another understood capitalism and democracy that goes with it. Now the question is whether Albania can happen in Serbia, Bulgaria, Rumania and in a different way also in Macedonia and Croatia. Especially because there is no important external enemy at hand at the moment, owing to a delay in military operations for the final demarcation in the region of Yugoslavia, that is enemy that makes it so much easier for politicians to control masses and peoples, the weekly Nedelo comments on Sunday.
