Left proposes day off for all parents of first-graders

Ljubljana, 10 September - The opposition Left has filed into parliamentary procedure a bill guaranteeing all employed parents an extra day of paid leave to accompany their first-graders to school on their first school day. The motion was backed by 34 MPs of the Left, the opposition Democrats (SDS) and a SocDem MP.
