Thaler: Slovenia Oriented Towards Joining the EU

Ljubljana, 20 March - After Slovenia signed the EU associate agreement last June, the Joint Committee and the Committee for Cooperation between Slovenia and the EU gathered for the first time at a formal meeting Thursday. In his introductory address, Slovene Foreign Minister Zoran Thaler pointed out "Slovenia remains firmly oriented towards joining the EU". That was its main goal, therefore the government would focus particularly on tasks related to the EU joining, Thaler said.
