Only few Slovenians are organ donors despite high transplantation numbers

Ljubljana, 14 October - Slovenia Transplant, the body in charge of keeping the national tissue donor register, has called on Slovenians to get their donor cards, as Europe observed the Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation on Saturday. Despite having the world's highest heart transplantation per capita ratio, less than 0.5% of Slovenians are tissue donors.
