Milko Šparemblek, oldest active choreographer in the world

Ljubljana, 7 February - Choreographer and dancer Milko Šparemblek, who will receive one of this year's two Prešeren Prizes, has helped transform the philosophy of dance, blazing a trail in ballet and choreographing more than 150 ballet, opera and theatre productions. "A dancer is a commodity for hire," he has said in an interview with the STA.
