Importance of culture hailed in parliament ahead of Culture Day

Ljubljana, 7 February - Culture Day, a bank holiday celebrated on 8 February, was honoured by parliament with a special session on Friday. Speaker Dejan Židan noted culture had been the key value and important guideline leading Slovenia's spiritual development and identity formation. The session also heard calls against perceiving culture as an expense.
