SDS-promoted conscription reintroduction looking unlikely

Ljubljana, 4 March - Most parliamentary factions seemed opposed Wednesday to a proposal that would reintroduce compulsory military service in Slovenia. The bill might be thus defeated at first reading since only the Democrats (SDS), the proposer, and a couple of other parties believe it has a future. Should the motion succeed nonetheless, it will face a referendum.
