Covid-19 measures drag down salary statistics in March

Ljubljana, 21 May - Gross average pay in Slovenia was 2.3% lower in nominal terms in March compared to February, the Statistics Office said on Thursday. It attributed the drop to the fact that the state covered salaries of furloughed workers. The drop was biggest in the hospitality sector, while there was a substantial increase in the banking and insurance sectors.
