Debate hears EU recovery plan a turning point, fast deal needed

Ljubljana, 28 May - A debate on the next EU budget on Thursday saw high-profile participants point out that the European Commission's recovery plan was a turning point, without it the European single market could be jeopardised. They also agreed that a quick agreement by member states is necessary.

An online debate on the next EU budged hosted by the European Commission Representation in Slovenia and the STA and featuring European Crisis Management Commissioner Janez Lenarčič, economist Mojmir Mrak and MEP Ljudmila Novak (EPP/NSi).
