Pipistrel plane gets first electric aircraft type certificate ever

Ajdovščina, 11 June - Electric airplane Velis Electro made by ultra light plane developer Pipistrel is the first fully electric airplane in the world to have received a type certificate. The two-seater plane, mainly intended for pilot training, is deemed to be advancing the frontiers of technology and cost-efficiency as well as green innovations.
