New police commissioner says police not politically motivated

Ljubljana, 2 July - Acting Police Commissioner Andrej Jurič has told the press that he plans to lead the police force in line with the principles of the rule of law and to place great emphasis on human rights protection. He has also said in one of the first statements after being appointed that he does not believe police work is politically motivated.
