Profit for banks halved in first five months of year

Ljubljana, 7 July - Banks in Slovenia generated EUR 152 million in pre-tax profit in the first five months of the year, a 50% drop year-on-year. Growth in loans to households was halved and loans to companies are gradually declining too. Exposure to non-performing loans due to anti-coronavirus crisis measures is not increasing yet, Banka Slovenije said on Tuesday.
