Audit on PPE purchases
"Court of Audit report disclosed": The paper has obtained the confidential draft audit report on the procurement of personal protective equipment and medical supplies during the first wave of coronavirus in which the Court of Audit finds the purchases were inefficient because an efficient system to asses the needs for critical supplies had not been put in place. Snow in the mountains
"Snow is beautiful, but it can also be dangerous": Large amounts of fresh snow in the mountains have created breathtaking scenery, but also many risks. (front page)

Road safety
"Epidemic saves lives on the roads": Slovenian roads claimed a record low number of casualties last year with early statistics suggesting there were no road accident deaths in December. The main reason for the trend is reduced traffic during the epidemic. (front page, page 10, commentary 12)
No confidence vote in the government
"Politics: Erjavec promises no-confidence motion next Friday": Karl Erjavec, the leader of the Pensioners' party (DeSUS) and a potential PM-designate, announced after a meeting with KUL coalition parties yesterday that they would file a motion of no confidence in the government on 15 January. "Children's hospital part of deal with the state": It appears that under a new agreement between the Ljubljana city and the state, municipal plots by the URI Soča rehabilitation institute will be swapped for the former children's hospital in Ulica Stare Pravde where the Waldorf school would like to expand to. Maribor Alpine Ski World Cup meet
"Forecast gives hope": Half the time in the past decade the Golden Fox Cup for the women's Alpine Ski World Cup was not held in Maribor due to too warm weather. Even if the view from the city does not look promising this time around either, the organizers hope to keep the 57th iteration at home. (front page, page 22)
